Get Your FSA ID Ready: Your Key to Filing the FAFSA

Before you can submit the FAFSA, you’ll need an FSA ID—your username and password for all Federal Student Aid websites, including studentaid.gov. It only takes about 10 minutes to create, and both you and your parent(s) may need one depending on your dependency status and tax filings.
