DESCRIPTION:Tune in this Sunday to WUMF 91.5FM for The Maine Veterans Spotlight\, featuring an interview with Brian Ellis\, Administrative Support Supervisor & Veteran Rep\, with the Office of the President at University of Maine at Farmington. The show will air on May 17\, 10-11 a.m. \nEllis\, a 20-year Navy veteran who served on the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS John C. Stennis Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers\, will be sharing his story of service and post-service career. \nThe show will be in the regular WUMF lineup 91.5FM\, Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. and will spotlight notable individuals who work with and help veterans in Maine. It is hosted by Jeff Pierce\, Director of Broadcast and Media Partnerships for Wreaths Across America and a 2019 Maine Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame inductee currently serving on the Maine Association of Broadcasters board.

SUMMARY:Concert featuring Complete Utter Opposite
DESCRIPTION:Farmington-based indie/rock band\, Complete Utter Opposite\, will perform at Emery Community Arts Center on May 22nd at 7pm. The band won first place in WUMF’s Battle of the Bands in 2025\, and has been refining their live performances with evolving set lists and extended jams to craft a distinctive and unforgettable experience at each show. Following the release and subsequent tour for their last album\, Nothing In Specific\, they hit the studio and began work on a second project\, Canis Minor. The band is touring New England this summer to support their sophomore album\, and their shows are sure to be better than ever before.
