Longfellow Young Writers Workshop
Longfellow Young Writers’ Camp
Are you a high school student who loves to write—or wants to become a better writer?
The Longfellow Young Writers’ Camp at the University of Maine at Farmington (July 12–19, 2026) might be just what you’re looking for!
This week-long, residential creative writing camp brings together high school students from all over to explore the art of storytelling across genres—fiction, poetry, screenwriting, memoir, and more. You’ll work closely with award-winning authors, develop your writing in hands-on workshops, and get a taste of college life on the UMF campus.
You’ll also connect with fellow young writers, collaborate in a creative and supportive environment, and take part in fun, enriching activities led by UMF faculty and student mentors.
Whether you’re an experienced writer or just beginning your creative journey, Longfellow is the perfect place to grow your voice—and have a great time doing it!
