As part of an ongoing effort to provide consistent services across the University of Maine System, your UMF ID is part of the UMS OneCard system. Your OneCard provides access to a variety of campus services at UMF and across the University of Maine System.
OneCard Benefits
- Use your card at participating University of Maine System campuses for dining purchases, including meal plans and Campus Bucks.
- Access UMF services including the library, printing and photocopying, building access, and the University Store.
- Use the UMS OneCard mobile app on iOS and Android.
- Add your OneCard to Apple Wallet for mobile payments.
- Manage your account and add funds through the online OneCard portal.
- Family members and others can also add funds to your account.
Submit Your ID Photo
Before you arrive for your first semester, you will receive an email at your @maine.edu email address with a unique link to upload your ID photo and supporting documents. The email will come from UMS Online Photo Submission.
If you believe you should have received the email but haven’t seen it, check your spam and promotions folders.
Important:
- If you already have an ID from another University of Maine System campus, you will not receive an email to submit a new photo. Contact the UMF Card Center to have a new UMF card printed.
- iPhone users must submit photos in JPG or PNG format. HEIC files are not compatible with the ID card photo system.
- If you are submitting two forms of ID, both forms must be photographed together as one image for upload.
Receive Your OneCard
Your OneCard will be printed using the preferred name listed in MaineStreet. Before your card is printed, update your preferred name in MaineStreet to reflect how you would like your name to appear on your card.
Changing your name after your card is printed may result in a $20 reprinting fee.
Whenever possible, pick up your OneCard in person when you visit campus for a campus tour, Summer Experience, Fusion, or Orientation. See the Orientation Day and Check-in information for details.
If you are taking your classes fully remotely, your OneCard will be mailed to you before the start of the semester.
