At the University of Maine Farmington, global learning isn’t just something you read about—it’s something you live. Through a wide range of Global Experiences, the Office of Global Education at UMF gives students the chance to connect with the world in meaningful, hands-on ways.

UMF’s reach extends far beyond the borders of Maine and the United States. The Office of Global Education helps to coordinate Virtual Global Experiences (VGEs) that give students the opportunity to collaborate online with students from partner universities abroad, Study Abroad programs around the world for up to a year, and short term Travel Courses that take students around the world with faculty leaders for one to two weeks.
