Biography

Brad Dearden is Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Planning at the University of Maine Farmington, with interests in development, sustainability, and urban places – particularly in the developing world. His recent research has examined inequality in urban areas associated with globalization processes. Brad maintains affiliations with the International and Global Studies program at the University of Maine at Farmington, as well as the American Association of Geographers and the New England-St. Lawrence Valley Geographical Society. Brad’s outside interests include travel, photography, cooking, tennis, and pickleball.
