Destiny Long
Biography
Destiny Long is the New Student Orientation Programmer at the University of Maine at Farmington. She is a proud first generation college graduate with a bachelor’s in English from Columbia University. A native of Farmington, she attended college as both a traditional first-year and a non-traditional transfer student, and hopes to draw from those experiences to design programming that supports a diversity of students at UMF. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Adult and Higher Education from USM. Outside of work, she is a self-taught gardener who is working to implement permaculture design principles at home. In the evenings she spends her time creating with yarn, watching sci-fi, and gaming with her spouse and child.
