Biography

Originally from Tennessee (Go Vols!), Dr. Montgomery has called Maine home for over 25 years. She is deeply invested in how we teach—not just what we teach. Her passion lies in instructional design and helping educators in both K–12 and higher education make intentional choices that truly support learning. To better support faculty at UMF, she teaches in the First Year Seminar program and in the EDT graduate partnership with UM and USM. Outside of work, she spends her time gardening, preserving what she grows, swimming in as many Maine lakes as possible, and baking sourdough bread.
