Biography
Dr. Kate MacLeod is an innovative inclusive educator, researcher, and author. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate special education programs at UMF and leads the Inclusive Education and Leadership track in the M.S.Ed. special education program. She began her career as a dual-certified high school special educator and English teacher in New York City. Kate also works as a consultant to support educators, school leaders, and families across Maine, the northeast, and the country to feel prepared and inspired to include all learners. She has co-authored three books and written many research and practitioner articles about K-12 inclusive education. Kate lives in Maine with her husband and son.
