Biography

Kirsten Petroska is the Director of Early College Partnerships, where she builds strong connections between high schools and the university to help Maine students get a head start on college success. With a background in higher and secondary education, Kirsten is passionate about expanding access to college to high school students across the state, particularly first generation and rural students. She believes deeply in the transformative power of education and is dedicated to helping students discover their potential, build confidence, and thrive in college and beyond. Kirsten collaborates closely with school counselors, faculty, and families to create opportunities that are academically challenging and personally meaningful. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Maine’s beautiful outdoors, reading widely, spending time with her family, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Organizational Studies at USM where her research focuses on mothering and the leadership experience.
