Registration for UMF Summer Session courses now open to the public
FARMINGTON, ME (March 25, 2026)—Thinking of taking a college course or two this summer? Registration for the University of Maine at Farmington Summer Session courses is now open to the public.
Courses cover a wide range of topics including Art, Chemistry, Education, English, Environmental Science, Geology, Health, International Studies, Mathematics, Political Science, Psychology and Rehabilitation.

Some online courses that may be of interest include:
ARH 102 – History of Animation
ECH 204 – Early Language and Literacy Development
ENG 200 – Writing for Professions – Professional writing, including internal and external communication for specific audiences. Attention is paid to style, grammar, visual design and digital technology.
ENV 257 – Soil Science – Study of the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil. Soils as a determinant of environmental quality and modern approaches to soil conservation.
GEY 110 – Introductory Geology
HEA 212 – Stress Management – Techniques for lifestyle examination, includes components of teaching methods of this topic area for K-12.
INS 177 – International Education
MAT120 – Introductory Statistics
POS 346 – Political Science – Cannabis Law and Policy
PSY 112 – Lunatics, Lockups and Lobotomies
PSY 212 – Contemporary Family Issues
SED 300 – Including Students with Exceptionalities in General Education
The first Summer Session courses begin May 11 with courses running throughout the summer. Courses run from four to seven weeks.
