UMF invites public to annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Lunch and Film Screening, Oct 14
FARMINGTON, ME (October 7, 2025)—Members of the public are invited to the University of Maine at Farmington for the annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Lunch and Film Screening on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 12-2 p.m. This event is open to the public and presented in partnership between UMF Student Life and Mantor Library.
The gathering will feature a traditional Indigenous lunch followed by a screening of the award-winning documentary “Dawnland” — a powerful story of truth, reconciliation, and healing that follows the experiences of Wabanaki families and the first U.S. Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Cost for those without a meal plan is $7.28 (NQFL-Not Quite a Free Lunch rate).
