Program Highlights

Micro-Credential Levels

Level 1 – Foundational Knowledge

Learners will explore foundational knowledge of inclusive practices, including an integrated multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), federal and state requirements, and key indicators if Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).  Approximately 5 hours of online training. Level 2 – Training and Practice

Learners will  demonstrate skills related to identifying grade-level expectations, necessary and targeted supports, relevant assessments for an Individualized Education Program (IEP) and knowledge needed to collaborate meaningfully with an inclusive IEP team to develop key aspects of the IEP. Approximately 5 hours of online training.  View the Level 2 badge for additional details.

Level 3 – Application and Feedback

Learners will demonstrate competency in using an Inclusive Individualized Education Program (IEP) Checklist to evaluate a sample or a real, redacted IEP.  Approximately 7.5 hours of online training. View the Level 3 badge for additional details.

Micro-Credential

Learners who complete the Creating IEPs  pathway (Levels 1, 2 and 3 badges) will earn a University of Maine System micro-credential.  The learner will have completed approximately 20 hours of online training to support skills, knowledge, and application in foundational principles of creating inclusive IEPs.  View the Micro-Credential for additional details.
