HON 305 Honors Enhancement
Honors Course Enhancement Option
Honors students may request to convert one non-HON course into an Honors credit course by completing an approved enhancement. This process requires early communication with both the instructor and the Honors Director, as instructors are not required to participate. Students must submit a proposal—including the course syllabus and a 250-word plan—by the end of the second week of the semester and complete a mid-semester progress report. Enhancements should add depth and independent inquiry rather than extra assignments, often involving research, professional engagement, or creative work. Final evaluation is done by the course instructor, and Honors credit is awarded once all enhancement requirements are successfully met. If the enhancement is not completed, the student will still receive regular course credit.
