Creative Writing Certificate

Write Your Story

UMF’s Creative Writing Certificate lets you work closely with practicing writers in workshops to develop your skills in poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.

By taking small, focused classes that emphasize individual conferencing, you’ll receive personalized feedback and guidance tailored to your unique voice and style. Developing a writing portfolio throughout the program will help you track your growth, showcase your best work, and build confidence in your abilities. This process encourages you to see yourself as a true artist, continually refining and shaping your craft.

Save more than $5,500 per year in tuition.

Through the NEBHE Tuition Break program, students from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont receive a $5,670 tuition discount on all UMF degree programs.
