UMF’s Professional Studies program combines a flexible general education with career-focused skills, preparing you with the real-world abilities employers want.

The UMF Professional Studies program is an excellent fit if you’re transferring from another college or returning to school after some time away. It offers a flexible path to complete your degree while accommodating your unique educational background and schedule.

The program includes a set of Core Requirements, an 18-credit Concentration tailored with your advisor, and the option to add a Minor that aligns with your interests and career goals. This personalized approach helps you build a degree that fits your future.

Through the NEBHE Tuition Break program, students from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont receive a $5,670 tuition discount on all UMF degree programs.

In the Professional Studies program, you’ll get to choose from a broad selection of skills-based courses to fulfill your Core Requirements.

Students complete courses from at least four of the following areas:
