The UMF Graduate Certificate in Special Education Administration addresses this need by providing candidates with prerequisite coursework, a solid knowledge base, and internship experiences aligned with Maine’s certification requirements for special education administrators.
Through this program, candidates gain a thorough understanding of both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of special education administration. Graduates are prepared to lead programs, support educators, and enhance educational outcomes for students with disabilities across Maine schools.
About this Program
Candidates will develop an understanding of the theoretical basis and practical application of Special Education Administration.
All courses are offered using a blended format, with a combination of face-to-face class meetings and online study.
Completion of this Certificate requires the following five UMF courses:
