UMF is holding an information and remembrance program on theUniversity of Maine at Farmington’s Mantor Green commemorating the 23rdanniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. American flags positioned on the greenwill form the message “9/11… WEREMEMBER…” Beginning at 8:15am on Wednesday, UMF willring a bell 2,996 times to honor those who perished on that day. There will be a simple line where people can queue up to ring the bell. We also have a table with oversized postcards that individuals may fill out tothank our First Responders for their service, As in the past, these will bedelivered to the various locations in town (fire station, ambulanceservice, police station), to thank them for their service.
