STUMF performance of “A Dollar”

“A Dollar” is a one act play written in 1920 by David Pinski. It follows a traveling acting troupe that find themselves at odds when the group finds a dollar on the ground and despite being written over a century ago, it remains relevant as it reflects how easily social dynamics and power can be altered by the existence of some monetary value and how quickly that power can change or disappear completely. The play is presented as a comedy but involves social commentary on greed and power that remain fresh for a modern audience. The performance itself is a student run production run through the Student Theater UMF.
