Symposium 2026

Each year, the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) Symposium showcases the academic excellence, research, creative work, and experiential learning of our students. Students present both individual and course-based projects representing diverse academic disciplines. Through lectures, demonstrations, performances, and interactive poster sessions, they share original research findings, thoughtful analysis, and creative work with the community. All events are open to the public.

2026 Symposium Day will be held on April 15, and daytime classes will be canceled so the entire campus community can participate in this celebration of student achievement.

In addition to Symposium Day, Arts Week will feature art installations, performances, presentations, and new media projects across campus, highlighting the creativity and talent of our students in a variety of mediums.
