Theatre: Samuel Beckett’s Endgame

Emery Community Arts Center presents Endgame and Act Without Words I by Samuel Beckett. Endgame, which premiered in London in 1957 alongside Act Without Words I, is written by Nobel Prize-winning playwright Samuel Beckett. Written in a macabre post-apocalyptic world, the tragicomedy explores the absurdity of aging, mundanity, and family. Will the suffering end for these characters, or will it go on forever? A profound and eerie masterpiece from Beckett, the author of Waiting for Godot and Happy Days. Endgame features community members Austin Frederick, Frederick Liebfried, Jenn Beloin, and Tim Davis as well as Tim Berry in Act Without Words I and it is directed by Gavin Pickering. Attend and learn why “nothing is funnier than unhappiness.”

Directed by Gavin Pickering. Performances are May 16th at 7pm and May 17th and 18th at 2pm. Location: Emery Community Arts Center. Admission: $15 Adults/ $10 Students/Seniors. Open to the Public.
