Escort Program & Life Safety Phones

Walk With Confidence at UMF

The UMF Escort Program provides students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a safe and reliable way to travel across campus, especially during evening hours or when walking alone. Trained campus personnel are available to accompany individuals to their destination, promoting safety, comfort, and peace of mind.

This service reflects UMF’s commitment to a secure and supportive campus environment. Whether heading to a residence hall, academic building, parking lot, or nearby location, the escort program ensures help is always available when you need it. Just call to request an escort, and arrive safely and confidently.

Life Safety Phones & Emergency Call Boxes

Life Safety phones are located throughout campus and can be used to reach the UMF Department of Public Safety/Campus Police or 9-1-1 services. The life safety phones are located both within buildings, in elevators and in outdoor locations.  The outdoor emergency call boxes are equipped with blue lights for better visibility.
