Dakin Hall (Currently Offline)

Where Community Comes First

Primarily home to first-year students, Dakin fosters connection through a mix of traditional double and single rooms, active resident programming, and a strong support system from peers and Community Assistants.

Located right in the heart of campus, Dakin Hall offers unbeatable access to UMF’s dining, academic buildings, and student activities. The hall’s unique layout—featuring double rooms and two floors offering large singles—provides both privacy and opportunities for social interaction. Combined with cozy common areas and a friendly atmosphere, Dakin creates the perfect foundation for students to thrive.

A Welcoming First-Year Experience

Dakin Hall primarily houses first-year students, making it a great place to build friendships and ease into college life.

The hall fosters a strong sense of community through regular floor events, shared spaces, and support from student staff like Community Assistants (CAs). It’s designed to help new students transition smoothly from high school to college, both socially and academically.

Conveniently Located in the Heart of Campus

Centrally located, Dakin Hall is just steps away from the dining hall, classrooms, Mantor Library, and student union—making it easy to get to everything you need without a long walk. Its location encourages students to stay active on campus and take full advantage of UMF’s academic, recreational, and social opportunities.

Suite life, great vibes, and friends just steps away.
