In Memoriam: Professor Misty Krueger

With deep sorrow, we share that Professor Misty Krueger, a beloved member of the University of Maine at Farmington community, passed away in July 2026.

Misty served as a professor of English at UMF for 15 years and as director of the Honors Program. They embodied the true spirit of a liberal arts educator—endlessly creative, deeply devoted to students, and passionately committed to the University. Misty was a gifted teacher, accomplished scholar, generous mentor, and cherished colleague whose impact will continue to be felt throughout the UMF community.
