Yetunde Ajao
Biography
Dr. Ajao serves as Assistant Director of Student Life for Training and Community Engagement at the University of Maine at Farmington. Her work focuses on staff development, student leadership, community engagement, and fostering belonging so students feel connected, supported, and prepared to succeed. She leads training for Community Assistants and collaborates with campus partners to strengthen the student experience.
With a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership and experience in multicultural programming, Dr. Ajao brings a global perspective to Student Life. She also teaches International Education: Teaching Across Countries. She is especially interested in deepening her work in restorative practices and exploring how they can strengthen relationships and community.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading and writing, exploring wellness and style, and spending time with her family. She values thoughtful conversations, practical learning, and everyday actions that help people feel welcome.
