UMF offers several different scholarships and will also help you apply for outside scholarships to make studying abroad financially feasible. In addition, most, if not all of your financial aid can be used.

There are Short Term-Travel Courses and Semester Abroad programs that help you complete your general education and / or major requirements. Planning ahead with your academic advisor can make studying abroad feasible for any major.

Short-Term Travel Courses

Short-Term Study Away Options

We understand that for some, an entire semester abroad program may not be the right fit, so we offer several short-term travel courses. These faculty-led global experiences are conveniently offered during May Term, Summer Session, and Winter Term. Because the time away is much shorter, the cost is far less. However, the experience is priceless.
