About Our Faculty

Meet the dedicated UMF faculty who inspire, mentor, and challenge students through personalized teaching, research, and a passion for learning.
Professors Who Teach—and Truly Care

At UMF, our faculty are more than accomplished scholars—they’re passionate teachers who chose Farmington because they believe deeply in the power of personal, student-centered learning. They’re here because teaching is their true calling, and they take the time to genuinely connect with their students.

You’ll work closely with your professors in and out of the classroom—sharing ideas, tackling tough assignments, conducting research, and engaging in meaningful conversations. Whether it’s during office hours, over coffee, or as part of a research project, your professors will get to know you—not just your academic interests, but also your favorite books, music, and perspectives on the world.

Many UMF faculty become lifelong mentors, offering guidance and support long after graduation. And unlike many universities, the vast majority of our classes—even at the introductory level—are taught by full-time faculty, not teaching assistants. That means your learning experience is shaped by experienced educators who are fully invested in your success.
