Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Special Education and Leadership

Participants in the Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Special Education and Leadership will examine research on effective inclusive systems and collaborate with school professionals, students, and families to promote inclusion and enhance student and family engagement.
The program also helps participants develop expertise in creating inclusive lesson plans using universal design principles and implementing multi-tiered, evidence-based academic supports to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
About this Program:
Courses may be offered either completely online or using a blended format, with a combination of face-to-face class meetings and online study.
Completion of this certificate requires five courses:
- SED 598 Inclusive Education Reform: a Social Justice Approach to School and Systemwide Reform
- SED 551 Advanced Intervention Methods for Inclusive Settings
- SED 599 Coaching for Inclusive Education
- EDU 579 Implementing Systems of Student Support
And one of the following elective courses
- SED 508 Classroom and Behavior Management of Students with Disabilities
- SED 504 Collaborative Partnerships Among Individuals with Disabilities, Families, and Professionals

- SED 514 Literacy Development for All Students
