Earn Your Bachelor’s Degree and Law Degree in Six Years

Ready to pursue a career in law? UMF’s Accelerated Pre-Law 3+3 Program provides a direct pathway from your undergraduate education at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) to a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland.

Through this accelerated program, you’ll complete three years at UMF before beginning law school at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland. Your first year of law school coursework will count toward your UMF bachelor’s degree, allowing you to earn both degrees in six years instead of seven—saving time and reducing the cost of your education while preparing you to begin your legal career sooner.
