We’re excited to have you join our community.

Welcome to UMF for Fall 2026! Whether you’re moving into residence halls, finding your classes, or meeting your future best friends, Orientation is here to guide your transition. Explore the August 28th Move In Day schedule below and get ready for a memorable start to your college journey. More about the full Orientation Weekend schedule to come.

Incoming Student Move-In Day: August 28

8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Student Check-In (Mantor Library)

  • Last Names A-L: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

  • Last Names M-Z: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM

  • Commuters & Early Arrivals: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

8:00 AM – 1:00PM One Stop Shop (Olsen Student Center, North Dining Hall)

11:30 AM – 1:30 PM Lunch (Olsen Student Center, South Dining Hall)

2:15 PM – 3:15 PM Information Sessions (Various Locations)

3:30 PM – 4:00 PM Welcome Ceremony (Dearborn Gymnasium)

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM President’s Reception & Family Send-Off (Mantor Green)

4:30 PM – 6:00 PM Dinner (Olsen Student Center, South Dining Hall)

Evening Activities:

  • Mandatory Residence Hall Meeting (Roberts Learning Center, Lincoln Auditorium)

  • Orientation After Hours: Bangers & Bites Karaoke (Olsen Student Center, The Landing)

As you pack, shop, and prepare for your journey to UMF, please keep a few items in mind that we’ll need from you when you arrive on campus (if you haven’t submitted them already):
