Congratulations on choosing the University of Maine Farmington — here’s what comes next

There are a few steps before the real fun begins, but we're here to guide you as much, or as little, as you need.

Welcome to the University of Maine at Farmington! We’re thrilled you’re joining our community. Your UMF journey begins now — from registering for classes and exploring housing to connecting with classmates. A few key steps remain, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way. Have questions? Our team is ready to help as you prepare for your first semester.

 

Step 1: Fill Out Forms

Sign-in to myCampus and fill out the necessary forms:

  • Housing Application – choose your campus housing
  • Room & Board License – agree to your meal plan and residence terms
  • Course Planning Form – first-year students only; required before registration

Visit MaineStreet fill out the necessary forms:

  • Financial Aid Award – review and accept your aid package
  • To-Do List & Financial Terms & Conditions – agreement required for enrollment
  • Upload Immunization Records (if necessary)– submit by Jan 1 (Spring) or mid-summer (Fall). Maine students’ records may auto-transfer via ImmPact.

Be sure to check your new maine.edu email account often — you’ll receive important information there.

Need Help Completing Your Forms?

Join a Zoom help session at the times below:

  • Mondays: 10–11 AM | Thursdays: 3–4 PM — Join Zoom
  • Tuesdays & Wednesdays: 2–3 PM — Join Zoom

 

Second Things Second: Additional Documentation

Some students have extra items to submit. Not sure if you do? Reach out to your Admissions Counselor by email, text, or phone.

You might need to:

  • Transcripts and scores: send official AP, IB, CLEP, or college transcripts to UMF Admissions (you will need to request the college transcripts from any school outside of the University of Maine System)
  • Register with the Learning Access Center if you require disability accommodations
  • Upload your student ID photo: look for the email with the subject “UMS Online Photo Submission”
  • Join the Honors Program
  • Sign up for Summer Experience: Jumpstart your college journey with a 4 day 3 night campus experience

 

Third Things Third: Preparing to Start at UMF

Once your class schedule is ready, you can view it in MaineStreet.

  • First-Year Students: Complete your Course Planning Form before registration
  • Transfer Students: Your academic department will contact you with registration instructions
