Dining at Farmington is fresher, more flexible, and more connected to Maine than ever. With upgraded menus, improved spaces, and a strong focus on locally sourced ingredients, campus dining offers greater variety, convenience, and quality.

At the center of it all is South Dining Hall in the Olsen Student Center, our primary dining location. Here, we keep pace with evolving tastes while prioritizing Maine-grown foods and regional sourcing, so every meal supports both your lifestyle and the local community.

South Dining Hall

UMF’s main dining destination offers a diverse menu centered on fresh, locally sourced food. In partnership with Sodexo, we exceed our goal of sourcing 25% of ingredients locally—highlighting Maine-grown products, especially seafood. Through participation in The Maine Course program, UMF is committed to sustainability, serving responsibly harvested foods, including 100% of our white fish from the Gulf of Maine.

There’s something for everyone—American favorites, global dishes, custom stir-fry, grill options, vegetarian meals, creative pizzas, and more. Flexible meal plans make it easy to choose what works best for your lifestyle, all while enjoying fresh, healthy meals that support local fishermen and promote mindful dining.

The Beaver Lodge

The Beaver Lodge, located in the Olsen Student Center, is a cozy, wilderness-themed hangout with rustic fireplaces, big-screen TVs, and exciting food choices. Enjoy smoothies from the Natural Bar, Mexican fare, or local meats and fish from the grill, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.

Mantor Café

Located in Mantor Library, Mantor Café is the go-to spot for students heading to class. Serving Portland’s Coffee By Design and grab-and-go snacks, it’s the perfect place to relax, meet up, and enjoy a quick coffee.
