Where You'll Live at UMF

Living Learning Communities (LLCs) and Themed Communities provide an immersive, inclusive residential experience where students live with peers who share similar goals and interests. These communities involve active participation in programs and events focused on their themes, fostering strong connections between students and staff. As part of UMF’s two-year on-campus living requirement, LLCs offer students an engaging way to fulfill this residency expectation while benefiting from deeper academic and social connections. LLCs require students to opt in during the housing application and are designed for enhanced engagement. UMF currently offers the following LLCs and Themed Communities: The Veterans & Active Duty Military Community (Scott Hall–West, lower floor), Sports & Outdoor Recreation (Mallett Hall), Education Community (Purington Hall), Pet Friendly Housing (Stone Hall), All Female Community (1st floor Scott Hall-South), Lavender Community (3rd floor Scott Hall-South)

These immersive communities offer students the opportunity to connect with peers, engage in related programs or events, and feel more connected to UMF.
